Aronia Berry Extract (Aronia melanocarpa)

Boasts a diverse array of active constituents that contribute to their potential benefits for skin health. Notably rich in anthocyanins, these flavonoids lend the berries their deep purple or black hue and harbor robust antioxidant properties, effectively neutralizing free radicals that can harm skin cells and accelerate premature aging. Additionally, the berries abound in polyphenolic compounds, offering antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects that safeguard the skin from environmental stressors and alleviate inflammation, fostering a healthier complexion. Featuring quercetin, a flavonoid with anti-inflammatory and
antioxidant effects, aronia berries may aid in reducing skin irritation and protecting against oxidative damage.

The berries also supply a substantial amount of vitamin C, essential for collagen synthesis and integral to maintaining skin elasticity and firmness, while concurrently shielding the skin from oxidative stress. Further enhancing skin health, aronia berries contain vitamin A and beta-carotene, supporting cell turnover, preventing dryness, and facilitating overall skin cell renewal. Lastly, the presence of ellagic acid, a polyphenol with antioxidant properties, in aronia berries may contribute to safeguarding the skin from UV damage and diminishing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Bakuchiol Plant Extract

Derived from the seeds of the Psoralea corylifolia plant, is gaining attention for its potential benefits for skin health. The primary active constituents of bakuchiol include bakuchiol itself, a monoterpene phenol, which bears structural similarities to retinol but is considered a gentler alternative.

Bakuchiol has demonstrated anti-aging properties by promoting collagen production and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally, bakuchiol exhibits antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, helping to protect the skin from environmental stressors and soothe irritation. This natural compound is
well-tolerated by various skin types and is often favored for its ability to provide retinol-like benefits without the potential drawbacks, such as sensitivity and irritation. As a result, bakuchiol extract is increasingly incorporated into skincare formulations to support overall skin health and address common concerns associated with aging.
